Official Launching of On-Demand Delivery Service App Mober

Mober, first on-demand logistics app from PH, launched
After its introduction 2 years ago, the on-demand delivery services app Mober is officially launched on November 20, 2017 by Filipino tech startup Mober Technology.
The app, fittingly called Mober as a play on the word mover, is the first of its kind from Filipinos.
It provides an instant and on-demand platform for same-day delivery solutions at affordable prices. With reliable pick-up and delivery options, the company seeks to offer tailored services to address its clients’ specific needs.
Mober can be used for a variety of purposes. These include making deliveries for small to medium enterprises, delivering goods to consumers, and providing start-up businesses with safe and cost-effective logistical services.
Non-business clients can use the app for lipat-bahay or transport of home furniture and appliances, for making bulk shipments, and even as pet shuttle transport.

Good for the business
Mober Technology currently services clients across Metro Manila, including big brands like SM Appliances and Adidas. Two hundred previously underutilized vans are now doing the deliveries in the Metro and up to Bulacan and Laguna.
Eric Ortiz, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, believes that using Mober will be beneficial to any business. “Our services can help them cut expenses on manpower and trucking,” he says.
According to him, Mober provides better convenience and even better services. “Investing in new delivery trucks costs a lot, adds to the traffic, and doesn’t guarantee efficiency,” the COO adds.

Promising and delivering convenience
Mober is currently available for download on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, and people can also book through their website and hotline number. This lets the company make delivery convenience more accessible to Filipinos.
Aside from affordable and transparent pricing, clients also get to track their shipment via GPS by showing the driver’s spot in real time. They may contact the van drivers via phone or SMS for better coordination.
Clients will also enjoy 24/7 customer support and even opt for cargo insurance.

Talking time and tech with Piolo
Multi-industry icon Piolo Pascual is living the life in a fast-paced environment. His work contains a long list of titles and awards that many people in the showbiz industry can only aspire for.
“I’ve been very busy lately with my professional and personal life,” says Piolo, whose career spans across multiple media platforms. “I’m working on a new soap and, as a producer, I have 2 movies in the pipeline,” he adds.
Beyond show business, Piolo also trains for multiple sports. “I love sports,” he says. “I got a bike race coming and I still do triathlons.”

Saving time with technology
With this kind of active lifestyle, the actor admits that organizing his time is challenging. But with the help of technology, Piolo says it becomes easier to sort them out.
“Anything I need is on my phone, from ordering food, doing work, and keeping videos. I live off of my phone,” he explains.
Piolo adds that by using the right apps, even managing his time has become easier. “It helps you do your stuff wherever you are and at any time of the day.”

Respecting time
Talking about apps, Piolo mentions Mober, a delivery app that he recently added to his collection.
“Mober offers instant booking for deliveries and within the same day,” he says. “No need to wait for days. Even in simple ways like that, I am able to show respect for other people’s time.”
He adds that in the past, he used to struggle whenever moving places. “It's just really hard to move things around because of the hassle of traffic,” Piolo recounts. In the past 20 years, he said he had moved places at least 6 times already.
Mober is the country’s first on-demand app that offers reliable and affordable van delivery services. It makes sending shipment and other goods as convenient and easy as booking a cab.
Making life easy through innovation“With the apps, of course everything is easier,” says Piolo.
According to him, the on-demand delivery app is proof of how technology can make life simpler for consumers. “Moving is taxing. Now, it’s less hard and lets me save time.”
The availability of smartphones challenged many tech startups to offer ways of saving and respecting people’s time. Indeed, using the right apps can make managing time easier.
Even a celebrity like Piolo agrees—however tight his schedule might be.

Mober launched to help move lives of Filipinos
Just last year, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) saw delivery vehicles for goods reach a high of 143,966 units. According to the data, the sector now makes up 15% of the total motor vehicle count.
These additional vans and trucks add to the already infamously heavy traffic in Metro Manila. With this growth, moving around certainly becomes more difficult and tiresome.
Mober Technology moves forward a solution.

Getting on the move
The promising Filipino tech startup believes that reducing the growth of new vehicle ownership can help ease the traffic on the streets. They want to do this by activating underutilized vans and trucks, hopefully leading to lighter traffic and lesser air pollution.
Mober Technology seeks to improve the lives of Filipinos by moving truck and van owners to use their vehicles in providing streamlined delivery services for business and companies.
With this initiative, the company developed Mober, a smartphone app that lets users book vans and makes deliveries on demand. This makes them the first and the only Filipino tech startup that provides logistic services.

Moving lives forward
Mober Technology notes that aside from making a positive contribution to the traffic situation, Mober also lets them help Filipino drivers.
Through the app, the company offered out-of-line or colorum drivers a legal and more stable source of income.

Even their van partners are glad to have an alternative above-board source of income. “I’m happy because I’m earning as much as someone in the corporate sector,” says Jonathan Gabson, a Mober Van Partner and the only recipient so far of the Mober Man award.

The Mober Man award is given to drivers who reached 100 delivery bookings in a single month. Gabson adds, “It’s worth it. With the demand, I can earn up to P80,000 in a month.”
Mober Technology believes that they are moving towards a better future for the Filipinos. Through Mober, they are able to help the society move forward while also moving lives of Filipino van and truck drivers.
